Civil Engineering
The Barnard 4+1 Pathway in Physics is offered to current Barnard College juniors with a GPA of 3.5 or higher to apply to Master's programs in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. Students should inquire with Beyond Barnard and plan on attending an introductory information sessions for the unique 4+1 Pathway they may be interested in pursuing. Each introductory session will be led b y faculty advisors, who will be available to provide an overview of the program and it's requirements, the admission process, and to advise students.

General Requirements for the 1-Year Masters Program in Civil Engineering, Columbia SEAS
- Must meet prerequisite undergraduate coursework, depending on chosen track.
- Number of credits to complete: 30
- Number of credits for 6000 level or higher courses: Not required. Could take if interested.
- Number of credits in Civil Engineering: At least 6 courses within the Department (4000 or higher, needs to be approved by Civil Engineering advisor).
- Number of credits of research allowed: Up to 6 credits (2 courses). These 2 courses could be considered as part of the required 6 courses in Civil Engineering.
